  • I went to Activ8 last night... and it was busy. The music selection was pretty good, but the DJ sucked rotten eggs. No mixes were on beat (except for the premixed cd). The women....WOW...holy ****.....damn!! In other words, very nice, some women probably had some renovations done..if you know what I mean.

  • Review for Activ-8 Nightclub [ Saturday, February 17 ]. Nineteen and over: SATURDAYS [ Check ID at the door ]. Myself and a whole bunch of friends decided to pay our past-time favourite Club Activ-8 a visit and I'm happy to say this is still the no.1 destination for European Dance Music. Nothing has changed. The music is amazing the crowd is good looking and the atmosphere is simply incredible. The music is just as good as it was a year ago (during our first visit). Whoever deejays there on Saturdays does one hell of a job. Eurodance and Trance dominate however Progressive-House is the toast of the night as the crowd loves it to pieces. Here's how Saturday nights break down: [ 70% ] Eurodance/High-Energy. [ 20% ] Progressive-House. [ 10% ] Various commercial music which includes slow-Dance and R&B. No Hip-Hop all night! What continues to amaze me the most about this club is the way people party!! You can easily get carried away and think you were in Berlin Germany or Athens Greece. The energy inside these walls can be most visible when the deejay plays European Anthems such as the theme to 'Zorba The Greek' at which point the entire dancefloor is united into one big family and a dance evolves. The only places you really witness this kind of bonding is either at (Greek) festivals or European-kind weddings. Still with the subject everyone in attendance seems to have a great time dancing and although there have been a few altercations in the recent weeks this night went by very peacefully. The club closed its doors at 3:00. The prices for the drinks are reasonable. I believe a beer is around the $3 mark and cocktails more or less the same. My friend is a bartender there so she hooks me up with drinks. The club is quite big. It's double the size of Flight and there is plenty of seating for those wishing to take a break from the dancefloor. In the back of the club there are two pool tables and in addition there are T.V monitors all over the club. We caught the end of the Leafs vs Avalanche game and the club literally came alive as the game ended but there is a good reason to arrive early. Admission is 'FREE' before 10 pm and just $6 after 10 pm. Very reasonable. If you want more hot tracks come see at Activ-8 this week. I give this club a well deserved 10/10 for the amazing time I had.

  • There is nothing there on Friday's or any other day except saturday. All other days it's just a bar/restaurant.Saturday's it's 19+, there is usually no line up cause the bouncers are not assholes. Most people are Polish and there is a $5 covre charge. There is lots of space to sit and the music they play varies. If the dj sees that the dance floor is packed he will keep on playing whatever he's playing. For a Polish crowd there is an unusually small amount of fights.
