Went to Afterlife Nightclub this past Saturday and I"ll never go back again. The bouncers were rude, bartenders were rude
and the club is a mess, especially the washrooms. Hasn't anyone ever heard of cleaning up!! Other then the cheap drinks, there
is nothing positive about Afterlife Nightclub.
Went there on a Saturday around 11:00. There was no line up. My friend forgot her
ID so we came back an hour later and there was still no line up. Usually, that's
not a good sign. When we got in, it was actually packed but only because the club
kept the second floor closed to give it the illusion that the place was full. This
was a mistake as you could barely move around in the place. Confining everyone to
one floor also made for long waits at the bar to get a drink. The worst part is
that they stopped serving at 2:00 (most places stop at 2:30) and they didn't even
announce last call. The crowd looked like it was mostly late 20s early 30s to me.
All I can say is, at least the music was decent. I won't be returning.
Got there around 11:30pm, no line up, $10 cover
As soon as i walked in the cigarette smoke hit me right in the face, i guess after a
year or so of the smoking ban i just kind of take it for granted, so when you walk
into a smokey club, you really notice it. there is a "VIP" type room off to the
side where i guess its cool to smoke, but there's no barrier or whatever, and its
not that big of a club, plus everyone was smoking everywhere anyway (on the
dancefloor, at the bar, etc). i asked a bouncer about it and he was like "well if
the owners dont care, what do you want me to do?".
The music was good....top 40 style, with a hip hop set, a brief reggae set, and some
popular house tracks. there were a lot of really good looking women in attendence,
so the crowd was definitely hot.
Overall, i give budo a 6/10.
PROS: hot chicks, good tunes, pretty nice decor.
CONS: SMOKING!!!! SOOO MUCH SMOKE (my clothes and hair just reeked after), expensive
drinks ($6 domestic beer).
- Got to Budo at around 12 00 and their both lines were pretty packed. Managed to by passline but had to pay the 10 cover. Walked in and noticed the bottom floor wasnt packed and you can movwe around quite well. A white-european crowd and everyone was dressed good. A good looking crowd in general. The average age of this floor was 21 and up. The ratio of guys to girls was decent. Drinks were priced higher than average with a mixed drinks costed me i think around 7 bones. Good bartending service and drinks mixed well. The atoshphere was a chillin/ loungin vibe with some people moving. Headed to the 2nd floor was our destination and then the heat just slapped me in the face. The floor was rammed and bartending service was slow. Stayed on that floor for about 20 min and decided head back down. Now the club was packed where you couldnt move. Basically chilled and moved around abot on this floor for the rest of the night. Music was mostly house, trance with a bit of hip hop. Place started to empty out around 2 30
Pro's: Good Looking crowd, Good Music/ Good atmosphere
Cons: Heat Factor/ Got really packed,Ceiling was leaking for about 10 min on the first floor

I liked the music and i had a better time than i thought i would . I would check back once in a while and would go back for sure
