- This is a LONG one! But I see no one else has ever posted....so here goes!
I went to Aura last weekend (July 23/05) for my sister's 30th bday. I had heard any
good things about this club from friends, so we decided to go. First, it is VERY
small and there is an incredibly narrow staircase down to the washrroms...when i say
narrow...i mean you have to walk single-file! The music was purely "goodies but
oldies" I made jokes that it was all especially for my sister coz it was all stuff
she listened to as a teenager!! Old reggae, old hip-hop and old R&B.....no new stuff
at all, unfortunately.....
Drink prices were average...patio is TINY, but workable....and there is no air
circulation inside...it was HOT! lol!...BUT...not one of these things would stop me
from going again, bcoz I had a GREAT time....(I always do if I'm with good
people!)....However.....I WILL NOT go back, for ONE reason and ONE reason
only......A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E!.....There were some ...okay a lot...of real skanky
BITCHES up in there...I mean the attitude was unvelieveable! Did they come out just
to hate on everyone? It seemed like it! How pathetic their lives must be, they go
out and act like that...walking around like their ready to fight if you brush by
them (in a crowded club too!!!). It was just insane! WHen I go out...I wanna have
FUN!....not deal with these dirty skanks. They had me so pissed at one point..I was
really ready to kick some bitches ass (and I'm not talking about pulling hair and
scratching...i mean SERIOUS fight) but then i realized...it's my sister's bday...I'm
with good people and I was determined to ignore them...or give the attitude right back when necessary and just
have a good time...and I did!!!So my point is....if you can handle the attitude...go! It was great!....if you can't
go somewhere else! P.S. we're so sick of attitude in clubs and we chose Aura bcoz it says "21+
(mature)"...I guess some people just never grow up! :-)
