Babaluu is a restaurant by day/evening and a nightclub by night. It's a fairly small underground club but not your typical club. You won't find laser lights or disco balls. They have a large central bar and a small to medium sized dance floor... the size of the dance floor really depends on how quickly and how much the staff removes of the restaurant dinner tables. One thing to note is that the roof is quite low so it gets very hot in this club.
Music is pretty much all latin/salsa. There is a very small bit of urban and Top 40 (with a latin feel).
The crowd is definitely more mature than most places. Average age is mid to late twenties. Just about everyone is dressed nicely (dress pants, skirts, button down shirts, etc...). Good looking crowd. People are really friendly...and guys are not shy to approach girls and ask them to dance and the girls for the most part accept. Most people are dancing salsa and are paired up... some people are *really* good at it. It got very busy around 11:30 and stayed that way until well past 1am.
Overall I had a fun time. It's different from your every day regular run-of-the-mill nightclub. 8/10.
