Atelier Nightclub Reviews

Great Vibe! Fun times!

My friend and I had such a great time at this venue! Music here is hard to fine. Best price and vibe in town :)

Definitely will be back!

I went to Atelier this past Friday for my birthday and it was fantastic! The manager who processed the bottle service reservation for me was very helpful and nice, and I had no hassles getting it done.

As for the place, it's quite small but a very nice looking spot! The washroom have cool faucets I may add. People were not sloppy but weren't too boring either. Some girls may look and laugh if say a girl is giving you a lapdance in your booth, but that didn't really bother me LOL.

The service inside was was awesome too! The server was really nice and had no attitude and even sprayed the champagne we got all over our booth as we requested!

If you're a person who really likes hip-hop/r&b/dancehall, you should come here on Fridays. The crowd is not ghetto at all, so you really don't have to worry about the music attracting people who just stare at anyone who attempts to go on the dancefloor.

I will definitely be back. One of the best nights I've had clubbing.

Best spot on King West

When I think of a good night I think of Atelier. I've been there 3 times now and each was great. Always a good crowd, friendly staff and awesome music. It has an intimate atmosphere and is always busy - best club on King West!

Sound system is horrble but great place

If they fixed the sound it would be a lot better. Crowd was really nice. Overall its a pretty awesome place for a shoe box. Going again this Saturday.

The best NYE!

My friends and I went to Atelier for our first NYE downtown this year! We all had a blast! Our bottle service girl was the best we've had and the prices was very reasonable! Thank you to the Atelier staff and management. It was the best way to start 2013!

NOT CLOSED

I haven't been here yet. Just called them and asked them, the lounge is not closed as this website has stated..It will be open tonight, and i will be going!

Saturday Night

just wanted to know what kind of music is played on saturday night?

Sound System

Hi Melanie,

Thank you for your review. We did have a issue with the sound system on the weekend. The sound system was fixed today. Must have been from all the champagne popped in the venue.

We hope to see you again soon! Next time you come, do ask for Jane and I will buy you a drink!

My girlfriends and I love this place! If you want to have fun and not be around uptight staff and pretentious people, this is the only place to be!!!! We will be back for sure!

Amazing Party with Amazing Friends

I had my 30th bday party at this venue on friday. I must say that this was the most fun my friends and I had a club. Music and services to top notch and bottles are dirt cheap! I paid $150 all in for grey goose at atelier on friday. The week before a went to another venue on king st and paid $350 for the same bottle!

Fastastic spot

Went to Atelier and had a real blast with 10 of my friends. Best music in town.

Love this place!

I'm a regular customer at this venue and just organised my best friend's bday party for last Friday there.

Bottle prices are the best time town, the staff and security are all so helpful and very friendly! I love the music! We had so much. Atelier you rock!

Great Perty!

Atelier is a fun lounge to party at.

My U of T friend took me here and he says you can sometimes spot Raptors players hanging here. If you come before 11pm, there's a happy hour deal you can take advantage of.

AMAZING time

Went here for a friend's birthday on a Friday night and had an AMAZING time!
Truthfully, I don't like a lot of the popular clubs in Toronto for a few reasons
1. a lot of T.O clubs allow in minors that can't keep their clothes on or their liquor down
2. a lot of clubs play what I hear on the radio over and over mixed in with some beats (I get kind of sick if just dancing to untz-untz-untz all night)

However, Atelier really impressed me. First off, the music was so so so so good!
They played some house music but also hip hop and some oldies all mixed
Everyone in my party loved it
and people were going crazy for certain songs (especially the hip hop, which is usually not played at a lot of mainstream clubs)

The place was quite packed but there didn't seem to be any creepy guys or those random guys who stand on the side lines and wait to pounce

I had a really great time here. Yes, I had great company but the music was really good and so was the bottle service - we actually had 2 people for our booth and everything was constantly refilled and cleaned up. The drink girl even kept bringing sparklers cause it was my friend's birthday.

All in all, the best Toronto club experience I've had in a long time!

Sh*t ass club

Don't waste your money at this sh*t box, firstly tell your bouncers they're not swat so they can calm the hell down. What was a perfectly good party got shitted on cause your dumbass bouncers kick people out that try to stop altercations, nobody was even fighting you dirty pansies. I'll reiterate, you fat fucks aren't the justice league so calm your little pussies down. The box is tiny and the crowd is terrible. Note to club owner fire your bouncers... Actually just sell that shit hole, do us all that favor. Bottom line bouncers are hot headed ballerinas and the club just sucks.

Great Party

I went to Atelier on a Friday night for a girlfriend's birthday party. I don't usually do the VIP/booth bottle service thing so it was nice to ball out for a change. The "booth" is actually a table in an upper area of the bar, this place is small. The staff here is great everyone from the doorman to the servers was polite and friendly. Everyone in a our party had a great time. Although i went online and read about a strict dress code ther was lots of people in t-shirts and some in runners. Anyway i recommend dressing your best here. Lots of hot ladies. DJ was on point playing for the crowd cutting the songs off quick, not really my taste but the crowd was going balistic for it. He even played some old school steppers that i request so I could dance with my lady. Security here was very restrained even when one guy that had too much puked all over the floor. They were the biggest guys i ever seen so don't test them and be on your best behaviour. The crowd here is all mixed race and is there to dance. I would have to say that this is good to go get dressed up and dance in the club district if you don't want to go to a larger venue

Extremely Disrespectful Bouncers

I went to this club with an open mind, as I do not normally enjoy downtown clubbing, simply due to the condecending attitude of club-owners/bouncers.

After having my ID checked at Atelier, I turned around to see if my boyfriend (who was next in line) was still behind me. A bouncer who was standing outside the line, speaking with a Guestlist representative, shouted at me "the longer you stand there, the longer everyone has to wait!!". I took this as being a misunderstanding and nicely clarified "Sorry, that's my boyfriend, I'm just waiting for him". The bouncer then rudely snickered and said "Yea well he'll get in honey". Almost immediately, the Guestlist representative turned to the bouncer and said "No, we don't say that here."

I didn't bother to argue, as it really wouldn't have made the situation any better, so I just proceeded to wait inside the club. I am very disappointed by the condecending attitude of the bouncers/guestlist staff. However, once inside, the club was very nice, small but classy. The bartenders were also nice.

Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my night as much as I probably would have, had it started off on a good note. I was left with a very bad impression of this club and I would not go back.

NOTE TO BOUNCERS: Club-goers are NOT always rowdy and disruptive. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, especially if they are spending money to be there. There are ways of dealing with situations, which can prevent such escalations and dissatisfied customers.

SHIT HOLE

this club is a SHIT HOLE the bartenders made up prices as the night went on, we were ordering the same drinks and the price was different everytime when we were leaving the coat check girl tried to steal my phone when i put it down on the desk to get my coat check ticket "i just wanted to see the new 4GS"
NEVER GO TO THIS CLUB UNLESS YOU LIKE FEELING CHEATED AND ROBBED ITS A SHIT HOLE

WORST CLUB in T.O

I have been to many clubs in Toronto being a resident of the city and I am a firm believer that is club hands down as to be the worst club to attend in the city of Toronto. The crowd is very young almost feels like an all ages. The staff at the club from bouncers to bartenders and servers are rude and not accommodating in the least bit. If you do decide to attend this horrible club my advice would be to leave before last call because of the young immature crowd once the alcohol is cut off the fighting starts. It would be in everyones best interest to not attend this club no matter what the circumstances the King West area is excellent for clubbing and there are many better venues to attend hopefully this club doesn't last long and can be replace with a place that better suits King West

Clubber

This place is terrible... the bouncers think they're the coolest thing on the planet. obviously have been losers all their life. keep collecting your 20's to skip the line. in the end you're still an uneducated doorman.

Great Night

New to Toronto and was told by a friend a coworker to try out this club Atelier. I was warned to get there early and did just that. arrived at 10:45 to a line up that was 15 to 25 deep and it took us less than 10 minutes to get to the front of the line. I was with several friends and one forgot his ID. Fully aware of the club policies we explained the situation to the bouncer at the front door and he was extremely cordial even though he reprimanded us for not having ID. Got inside and was surprised. Even though the venue is small, it was fun and everyone was dancing. The staff there was nice and attentive.
It was a great choice and I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Atelier

If youre looking for a fun place with great music, great service and an awesome crowd of people, you really should not check this place out. This place is not not big and the staff are not very friendly. The bouncer let in select people, I was not one of them. The bouncer told me I wasnt allowed in because of a personal reason. Who knows what that means. Please do not go here.

Unorganized, rude door people

Stay away, spend your money elsewhere.
This club is the worst I've ever been to in my life. I'm 26 and I am not a hardcore clubber but i've been to many in my lifetime and this has got to be one of the worst if not the worst in Toronto.
The place is small (and you can't fault them for that) but their fault lies in their rude and unprofessional staff. The guestlist girl was rude when people were informing them they had bottle service or question why the line wasn't moving. One staff was nice, he was a bald south asian gentlemen (not sure if bouncer or promote). However the black bouncer would only let someone in if you greased him a $20 bill or if you were his friends. I understand that the club/lounge is small and may be over capacity, but be fair to the people patiently waiting in line for at least 40-60 minutes (especially if they bottle service too). I understand there are VIPs, and friends you may have to let in first but it was ridiculous. We waited close to the front of the line for over 45 minutes. During this time I saw the bouncer let in at least 30 people who either greased him $20 each or were his friends, while the rest of the line stood there. Eventual half the people in the line left. We stayed because my friend had a booth for a birthday inside.
We eventual got inside and the space looks alright. It was small as said; about 200 people capacity. The drinks were average price and bartenders were nice and professional. Music was top 40, nothing special. The crowd was 80% south asian, and the other 20% other races. The age was 19-24 year olds. I advised people to look for somewhere else to party and spend your hard earn cash. This place is not worth a $20 grease to get in or a 30min + wait. for that price or time, there's better clubs.
