  • Times Frequented - Been to the club 5 times, and waiting for the opportunity to go back. The Bouncers - No problem with the bouncers. Very polite and courteous. Great security...they are all wired. The Club - Dress code in effect! Must be over 21 (except Sundays). And you CANNOT wear anything with brand-name logos e.g. Tommy, Nike, Fubu, etc. You enter an single door and proceed up the stairs. Once there, there are reserved VIP booths along the front windows facing the Detroit skyline. There are tables and stools in that area as well. The sitting area is elevated from the dance floor. Dance floor is right where you come up the stairs. Kinda small, but decent. The DJ/band sits in the centre of the club. The bars are on either side of the stage. In the back, there are now more booths. During the summer, doors lead you to a deck but with a very boring view of the bus terminal. Drinks are kinda expensive for Windsor, but very reasonable compared to Toronto clubs. The staff is very courteous, and if they aren't too busy will chat with ya. No food is offered at this club. Surprisingly, not a lot of people smoke in the club. That, or they got one heck of a ventilation system. Line-ups occur after 10PM. So get there early. Cover is $3 last I recall, but may be slightly higher. Very reasonable coat check too! A very classy place. Watch out for parking...Dean's has no on-premise parking. Windsor parking system sucks royally. Watch the prices advertised...they might say $5...but it's in USD! The People - Depending on the night you go, it's a mixed bag. I haven't been there on Wednesdays. Thursdays, it's a mature crowd ( mainly 25 and over) for Salsa night. Most seem very affluent, or have just finished their office jobs. Fridays and Saturdays are pretty much the same. Sunday you get the 19+ crowd, but there aren't that many 19-20s there...a lot of people around the 21 to 25 age range. Overall, it seems that the folks going to Dean's are middle-class and higher. A lot of people on Sundays are from the University of Windsor Business Faculty. There aren't a lot of Americans that go, mainly because of the 21-and over restriction (this keeps out the "youngins" that just want to get smashed). Very hot people there...of both sexes. The Music/DJ - I'd have to say it's average, compared to Toronto. Compared to Windsor, it ranks among the best. It pretty much depends on the night you go. There are theme nights, so pick the night you want to go. I usually go on Europe Radio Sundays. One time, it's stuff you hear at the major clubs in TO (new stuff--but maybe a month behind). Another time, the DJ was going old school Euro. It's one of the only places that you will ever get to hear Euro, house, trance and freestyle down there. My Opinion - This is the best club to go in Windsor, Ontario. A taste of Toronto in Windsor. Kinda nice for us folks who have lived in the GTA and Golden Horseshoe and gone to TO clubs. There are rumours of a competing bar opening up in Windsor, but Dean Martini's sets the standard. All other places in Windsor pale in comparison.
