- The bouncers: I have never had a problem with the bouncers at the Docks. They were nice and the line moved fairly quickly.
The Club: I must admit that it is awesome. The Docks is more than just a nightclub. It's like an amusement park. There is a driving range, mini golf, tons of basket ball nets, a small mid way, beach volley ball courts, pool, wall climbing, restaurants, a massive stage, rink, a huge 41,000 sq. ft. patio outside along the lake front and of course the club itself!
When you first walk into the Docks you enter the main room. The dance floor occupies most of the space in this room. There is one long bar located at the far back wall. To your immediate right you will find the Aqua Lounge (the Aqua Lounge is a very small room with places to lounge around). To your left (of the main room) you will find the large stage and a small room above the stage that has a few places to sit and a tiny bar. If you walk towards the right hand side of the main room you will come across Tides Lounge. This is a restaurant that is converted into a nightclub at night. It's beautifully decorated, upscale and is my favourite part of the club. Between the main room and Tides Lounge you will find a large steel curtain and a hallway that leads you outside.
The People: This club has always been rammed when I have gone. The crowd is mostly a bar-type of university/college students. But there are so many different types of people at the Docks it's hard to classify one type of crowd. The main room is a younger crowd and is always packed to the point where it's almost impossible to move. The Tides Lounge features more of an upscale 21+ crowd. And the Aqua Lounge is an older crowd also.
The Music/DJ: The main room on Fridays is usually jumping to the latest House, Dance and R&B/Hip Hop tunes. MC Jay T is really awesome at getting the crowd pumped up. The Tides Lounge plays mostly House with some Dance, Old School and R&B. The Aqua Lounge plays Old School, House and R&B. I really liked the music in the main room and Tides Lounge. On Saturdays the main room is almost strictly house music with DJs Storm and G Roc. The music is much much better later in the night than earlier. The Aqua lounge plays R&B, Hip Hop and Reggae...I did not like this room at all.
My Opinion: Overall, I still say that this club is amazing. It caters to almost anybody's taste. This club is always rammed on Friday and Saturday nights. If you haven't been to this club I recommend you go at least once in your life. Check it out!

- I must admit it was very different crowd. There were sooooo many different types of people.
We got there pretty early, around 10:30. No line, no cover (we had flyer). The place was pretty much empty for ahwile, not until about midnight that it actually got packed. At first there were the two main rooms. It was only the Tide Room (I think thats what it's called) that was open. Then the main room opened up a little bit later. Eventually both rooms were opened as one big room, and the same music was playing in both. It was mostly House and Hip Hop. The patio was opend too. It was nice cuz that's were everyone usually went for a smoke, so inside you could enjoy yourself without breathing in the second hand smoke. The Docks set up these things on the roof that ignight fire out of them every so often so the whole place would heat up. It was nice cuz last night was pretty cold. As for the bartenders, not bad. They were pretty fast. Only thing I don't like about the Docks is all there drinks are served in plastic cups. Call me a snob or whatever, but I can't stand drinking out of plastic cups. LOL Overall it wasn't too bad. It was something different for a change. I give it a 8/10
