  • My opinion of Easy on the Fifth (now known as the fifth social) is that it has to be the last remaining nightclub in the entertainment district that caters to a really mature stylish crowd of 25+. Nowadways, if you're looking for that type of crowd, you're best bet would be be visit King Street and College Street. Easy on the Fifth still manages to be one of the best places to go to. The line up is short, the crowd is great and the customer service is excellent. Not to mention that club is also huge and it seemed like there was about 1000 people in the club. It was and always has been one of my favourite places to go to in Toronto.

My Overally opinion of Easy on the Fifth: 9/10

  • Let's just say I always have fun at this club. The crowd is mature and people there are always nicely dressed. You won't find any young punks who will spill drinks on you. Drinks are at a reasonable price. I especially like the idea of the big fans in each corner and the jazz room.

The only thing I have a problem with Easy is this one particular bouncer. He is that one big black guy who makes all the judgment calls on who to let inside. Let's just say he has very poor taste, he lets more men in than women! He always tries to find poor excuses not to let ppl in especially if you don't look old enough or should I say not "rich" enough. A friend of mine was dressed completely fine, and he tried to stop him for whatever reasons until my friend showed him his cop batch, all of a sudden he acted all nice and let him in. This bouncer is a complete flake and wannabe. Not to mention I saw him one time at the Money Nightclub and someone asked him if he works at Easy, and he flat out denied it. Anyway, Easy is a wicked place to go to but I'm just warning you, try and avoid talking to this loser bouncer and ask the other guys at the door if you can. They are MUCH MUCH nicer and less pretencious.

  • Lastnight, friday april 9th , long weekend, my friend and i went to easy & the fifth for the first time. She 's not from toronto, and i havent gone out much either here, so i wasnt really sure where to bring her. The security was friendly and helpful in giving us an idea of what the club was like , before we got in to check it out ourselves. we dont get together often so we wanted to make sure that we'd enjoy ourselves. The security let us walk in and take a peak to see if it was the vibe we were in the mood for, before paying cover . I'm 25 and european , so i wanted to be in an atmosphere that was a little more mature, and more classy. Sure enough, it was what i was looking for. The music was great, top 40 a little hip hop and dance. The men were more my type than other clubs that we checked out earlier..They were mature, dressed well and mainly caucasian...exactly what i like..the security checked on us throughout the night to make sure we were! having a good time, which was really nice. The girls washroom was so nice...! Also there was a food table with assorted sandwhiches , which was good cause my friend was hungry and had a bite ...Also, as were leaving we got bottled water with an easy & the fifth label, which was a good idea, cause i know i'm always so thirsty leaving a club! All and all, we had a great time at the club and i know that i will be coming back in the future!

  • I noticed that Saturday nights keep on getting younger, there finally letting in 20 to 25 year olds. So it's time the Richmond street under 25's start checking this place out but remember major dress code and arrive early.

  • Got there at 11:30pm, small line-up. This place is very strict on their dress code, they didn't let me in until i got a collared shirt. Regular klubbing shirts for guys are not allowed. Don't even try greasing the bouncer. They prefer long-sleeved shirts to short sleeved shirts. I guess they're trying to create an upscale atmosphere. Place got filled nicely by midnight.

Guestlist only gives you line bypass, why didn't they give us cover discount? So that is a definite downside. Cover is $14, which is high in my opinion. I wouldn't go back because of the high cover.

The main room has a warehouse kind of feel, you can still see the pillars and the roof. There are nice couches and stuff. But This place gets pretty hot, i don't think they have AC cuz they had lots of fans blowing air. You'd think they have better climate control...

Crowd is definitely mature.......26 and older. I found there were a bit too many guys, and most of the guys are older......and the girls were not very nice. They need to attract more hotties. Mostly white crowd, very few other races. They have a lounge at the back where a guy was playing the piano......very nice place to chill and have a drink. Kind of a jazz lounge feel, this place is a totally seperate room and is brighter, and you won't be able to hear the music in the main room.

Music was mostly 80's and almost a retro feel, some old school tracks that i'm guessing the older crowd likes. Some top40 as well. A plus is that this is the only club I've been to that serves sandwich subs to everyone complimentary around 1am. I haven' t seen any clubs that serve food to all patrons since they had pizza at Helium on Fridays (all ages).

I hear there's a nice 5 star restaurant upstairs, but didn't get to check it out. Drinks are average priced. Not a place to go to pick up girls, not much quality there anyways. The crowd seemed pretty average to me. Why would movie stars and athletes wanna come here? I think Fluid is a better place to go to.
