Review Submitted by Deeple V for Elbow Room Nightclub in Mississauga
  • Elbow Room is a great place to go to in Mississauga if you're looking for a place to just chill and relax. Elbow Room isn't too large but isn't too small either. The customer service is great as we were able to enter the club in less then 3 minutes and parking is cheap. The crowd is also great either as they obviously enforce their dress code. Elbow Room is a great place to go in Mississauga.

    Overall: 10/10 for Elbow Room

  • Finally had a chance to check out Elbow Room this past Saturday since I was a fan from the original days. Elbow room along with many other clubs in Mississauga (Body English Nightclub, Sugar Daddy's, Enfield Fox) is breating new life into the clubbing scene in Missisauga. Rather then going to a Toronto Nightclub and drive 30 minutes and spend $20 on parking, you can get cheap parking (and some free spots) with a 10 minute drive to the club.

Entered Elbow Room and was slightly dissappointed at the size since its not as large as the original but still enough to fit about 700-800 people I think. The line up at Elbow Room was moved in quickly and had no problems with the guestlist. The music at the club is Top 40 with mostly hip hop and R&B but that's nothign to complain about. The crowd at Elbow Room is exactly what you would expect at a Mississauga nightclub, a mix in culture with an age group of 19-30. The customer service is also great with bartenders moving quickly and giving you back proper change (I've been ripped off many times before)!!

Overall, I think Elbow Room sets the standard in clubbing not only in Mississauga but in the entire nightlife industry.

  • Customer Service for Elbow Room
    Rating 3/5

Went to the grand opening of Elbow Room. I arrived later in the evening. There was a short line however guests were being told that it was guestlist only for the night, a lot of conflicting stories here. Regardless I was quickly ushered in but found it to be slightly disorganized as I was advised there was going to be a cover charge but there was no cashier...so the bouncer ushered me in. Oh well better for me. Went inside and went straight to the bar. Bar service was slow and the bartenders seemed to not care that there were tons of patrons waiting to be served and had no sense of urgency. More than likely they were fresh out of bartending school and seemed to be a bit reluctant in finding their way around the bar. I was also irritated that the bar was extremely dirty and messy. A good bartender always keeps their bar clean and tidy.

    Interior for Elbow Room
    Rating 3/5

Since changing owners and names I was expecting to see some renovations done to the space however there was none. I find the lay out to be awkward. You enter to have coat check on your right. Then you enter the club and there's a dance floor with a circular stage off to the side that serves no purpose. Bar on the right and bar right in front. To the left is the "VIP" area which is out in the open and didn't feel very VIP. You go down to the dance floor where the stairs are narrow and it's very awkward going up and down with so many people. Again a stage in the middle that serves no purpose. In the left corner was another stage with a stripper pole. Major point loss here...I don't care what age group you're catering too stripper poles in clubs = trashy!!! To go to the washrooms and patio you have to go out in to the hallway where coat check was and go upstairs. The womens facilities only had 3 stalls....not enough for a place that size. Seating for people ! to lounge in the hallway and then the patio. It's cold...I was expecting heaters on the patio there was none. Not impressed. The patio however did have some nice seating.

    Music for Elbow Room

DJ Juice was spinning you can't go wrong here. Playing a great mix of top 40, dance, hip hop etc. Everyone was moving the music was the only thing I can really say kept me there!

    Crowd for Elbow Room
    Rating 3/5

The crowd was quite mixed from 19-23 to 30-40 year olds. It was to say the least an odd mix. Nothing to write home about.

    The Good: The music

The Bad: The bar service, the interior and the location. The club was not easy to find.

Overall 3.5/5 for Elbow Room Nightclub

Parking was free which was a bonus but I'd only return for a specific event.
