  • Arrived in the Big Town of Kitchener, after a 90 km trek, at 10:30pm. Parked in the large, security patrolled, free parking lot on the edge of King Street.

We walked the few minutes to the club. At 10:45pm there was no line. The cover charge is $5, before 11PM it is free.

Security at this time was friendly and after a quick frisk (there would be lots more frisking going on later) we walked in.

At this time the music was house and top 40 dance spin by DJ FX. The club was quite empty at this point. First stop the bar to quench our thirst after that long drive. Beers are $2.50, and are poured into a plastic cup. Mixes are also $2.50 and are your $2.50 sized drink not the larger glassware ttype. They are in the smaller sized plastic cup. Service was very good, but at first she did not want to run a tab. She later agreed when we left our ID with her.

The club is in an old small theatre. Not as big as the old Lyric that was located down the street from this place. Beside the main room a small back room was open. It was called the "fire" room, was all red, had urban music in it, and was dead.

The crowd....Most seemed friendly. All ages and backgrounds were present, with the majority being college aged people. The ratio was decent, yet the standards were not there. I mean the cows were out partying instead of in the fields grazing. Most patrons were CHEAP. Not many tipped the service. One guy bought 8 shots, 4 mixes and 2 beers, and took back all his change. One guy bought a $2.50 mixed drink, pulled out his 'zip lok' bag, paid with a fiver, and picked up all his change and put it back in his baggy.

This party was a "FOAM PARTY". I was tired, the drinks were not doing the trick, but the foam did. The dance floor was devided, 4/5 for foam. The foam came, the urban stopped after what seemed like an eternity, house and dance came on, some clothes came off and the party started. (later he would play tons more urban with bits of latin, dance and house, yet the urban was a bit too hardcore for this place) The dance floor was never full, the club only 50 - 60% full too. The people in the foam were crazy and partying like no tomorrow, some in beach attire, some with googles, some in g-strings, some in birthday suits and some just foolish like us with too much on. On a side note, some "PRINCESS" was worried about some foam on her head and gave MAJOR attitude. She should have stayed home or went where there was no foam. What do you expect. After a few minutes I saw something that scared me for life and gave me nightmares. (heck it was worse than seeing tighty white's - another post) The cows came for milking and one had a g-string on...heck, I did not think they came that BIG.

One of my buds was having an amazing time, filled with booze, he was on a mission. His mission was a sucess, getting milk and eating cookies too. Did I mention the friendly people, ladies too, which is rare.

At about 1:30 OUR party came to an end. We got kicked out. Why? My buddy was dancing with women. (I've had other friends kicked out in K/W clubs for this and some dirty dancing) OK, the bouncer said there were 3 complaints about him harassing women (grabbing etc), yet he danced with only 2 ladies, one at the beginning, then another for the majority of the night. He was not even warned about this.

We left soaking wet and pissed. Saw a lady wipe out on the tiled floor and almost crack her head open. Saw K/W's finest all over the downtown street. Went to the lot and started to change. The security guard came over and said we could not. Had to find another lot to change in.

The night started off slow, was great then went down the drain. Will I go back. NO WAY.

  • I like the club because its the best one in the KW area however, The hip hop room is packed with horny guys I was walking through the room and got groped at least 3 times I was forced to elbow the pathetic guys. If you don't want to be sexually harrassed stay out of the hip hop (fire) room!!

  • My first time there was a couple weeks ago on a Saturday, and let me tell ya -- Main Room Sound System = A W E S O M E. I don't think I've been in a club (of all the clubs I've been to, with the exception of maybe the late Venus) that had as nice of a sound system overall. They play it out real nice too, by gradually increasing the bass as the night goes on. Ooooh baby!

The second thing I'd like to say is that the place is nice inside.... nice and clean. Classy. Leather couches, and nicely done all through.

The third thing I'd like to say is that the girls....(ohhhh the girls)....who come to elements are tip-top! I mean most of them are lookin' fiiine. I didn't see many overweight chicks at all, but then again, maybe that's cuz my eyes were busy looking around at all the nice merchandise. :P

Saturday's are more packed, with all three rooms going in full force, and not much room to spare.

  • Elements nightclub in kitchener opened this past saturday. it was alright. very packed since rev has been closed for the past three weeks. there was no coatcheck yet so that was kinda annoying for us girls. there are three rooms. the main room is mainly a mixture of like dance, hip hop, and like mainstream latin. then the other room is a hip hop room, and the best room, the AIR Lounge, plays all house and trance

  • It's in downtown Kitchener, and for those that don't know the area our clubs blow. Revolution is the only nice club around here. So it was nice to see another open up. Club itself cost apparently over 2 million 3 rooms, 1500+ capacity, and the Club is also the home of the Worlds Biggest Disco Ball. Arrived at 9:30 & waited 15 mins before getting in. Already half full. The stopped letting people in around 11:30. Let more in later on though. Revolution had liquor license suspsended, getting back next weekend some i'm thinking more crowd due to no other clubs in town open. Cover was $3, beer $3 & mixed $3.50. You walk in and has huge entrance were walk on plush new carpet, oh my, can't believe they used nice carpet through some parts of club. The club itself looks very classy and nicely decorated. The first room is on left called "Fire". Nicely decorated, leather couches etc. The second room at back of club is "Air". The DJ booth in both rooms is right in front of everyone so literaly can walk right up a spin a record. Oh, if I could only change what they were spinning. Anyways, the main room has nice layout. That Disco Ball is huge. With the laser show reflcting of it spinning round, very nice. The club has huge hugh ceilings as used to be movie theatre. Very nice sheet effect etc. The crowd in our city, in my opinion does not know how to party. I don't know. They have a dress code, at beginning some saw trash, but later on mostly everyone was dressecd nicely. This is the nicest looking club in town. So, should you go? Hmmm. Music, this is what makes a club in my opinion hands down. I don't care what anyone says, I'm going to have a good time if the beats aren't kickin, if not, forget it. Kitchener-Waterloo has never had a place where they play good music. They still don't. Euro, Trance, Freestyle, Latin. Yeah right. I'm a Club 54 regular and often go to palazzo, plastique, etc. I will continue going there despite Elements being a nicer club in terms of looks compared to 54 & Plastique. Pallazzo still little nicer in my opinion. The Air room was playing rave music, I don't call that trance. Garbage. Fire room was playing R&B & touch of house. The main room was playing R&B?? Isn't that the fire room? They played R&B all night, some house & Trance. Nothing Fist Pumpin. I asked him to play some euro. Umm, later. Ok, I'll ask for a mainstream track play IDS. Hughh?? Well then maybe you should know sound de-zign, Unique, Rimini Project Sounds good. HAHAHAHA. I'm going to 54 next week to have Bizz kick out some good tunes.
