    Customer Service Rating 5/5

We headed to My Apartment (MA) on a Friday night as it’s the most popular night there. There is tons of free parking which is definitely a bonus. There are 3 separate lines; one for girls, one for those 21+, and one for those that are 25+.. The lineup no matter what hour you go is long, however it does move quickly. The security and staff are friendly and courteous - no complaints.

    Interior Rating 3.5/5

The inside is very much more like a bar then a night club. You walk in and there is a large bar in the center which takes up a lot of room. There is an elevated section on the right and left each with a bar. When the club gets busy they open up the VIP Bar section in the back. In the summer time the patio is open with another bar. Everything is wood and there are 2 different restroom areas so if one is full chances are the other one is empty. Not the prettiest place but it’s homey like and has a cabin/bar feel.

    Music Rating 4/5

The music at MA is different from downtown to say the least. Forget about Top 40 you’re getting a bit of everything here. Some old school, a bit of retro, some top 40 and a bit of urban thrown in for good measure. Definitely not the place to hit if you’re looking for house or dance music. However still a good time had by all because if nothing else you’re reminiscing about your cousins wedding and doing the YMCA!

    Crowd Rating 4/5

The crowd at MA is from everywhere in the GTA. So overall I’d say 25-35 is the crowd you will find here. Everyone pretty much knows each other and everyone is fairly friendly talking and socializing the night away. It’s a good place to catch up with old friends.

The Good: It’s an older crowd and definitely a different experience

The Bad: It’s in Mississauga at Hurontario and the 401.

  • Halloween 2004, two girls decide to go to My Apartment. We waited almost 2 hours in line, and during this time, a bunch of guys cut in line and almost started a fight. When I went to the bouncer, and told him what had happened, he refused to do anything and had the audacity to suggest I’m lying. He simply let them in and kept us waiting, instead of doing his job. When we finally got inside, the bartender was very rude and only gave me half a shot of whisky for my money! The music was alright when the Dj played reggae and some soca, but then he ruined it when he would suddenly play Bon Jovi and some slow songs. The newly renovated club is still a small, square room and nothing special to look at. I would never come back to this club.

  • Got there around 10:00pm $5 cover to get in. Only the first floor was open when we got there. $2.50 for coatcheck. Upstairs opened around 10:30pm. Music is a good mix of mainstream party tracks, and the DJ upstairs takes requests. This place definitely has an older aged 25-30 white crowd. Me and my friends kinda stuck out cuz we had 15 Asian friends, but there was no attitude. Thanks for giving us the party for my buddy Pete's bday! He definitely had a fun time. Dance floor gets really packed and the ladies were very friendly. We totally missed out on the cheap drinks before 10pm on Sat but that's cool. Only thing to mention is that this place normally closes at 2am, you guys should stay open later! There's no dress code so most people were casually dressed. But that doesn't mean come in a T-shirt and shirts.

  • My Apartment is a smaller club in the southern end of the main clubbing district. It has two floors, with the bottom floor being a lounge/bar type area, and the top floor having two bars, and a small dance floor. The drinks are reasonablly priced at $2 for beer before 10 on Saturdays, and $4 after. Cover is $4 on Saturdays. The Crowd is an older one though, mid to late 20s for the most part. Get there early though cause its a small club and gets packed early. The bouncers were really professional there, they rejected a lot of sob stories from a lot of people... very rarely do you see that (at least in my experience). The only bad part of the nite was the snarky bartender who swore at me when I decided not to tip her for getting me a bottled beer. Fine, maybe its right, maybe its wrong but I believe in tipping for draught, mixed drinks etc... any illiterate grade school dropout can get me a bottle though. Other than that, it was pretty decent (although the crowd was a bit too old for me).
