City & Colour @ Budweiser Stage
City and Colour (aka� Dallas Green) delivered another folk-rock gem full of soft lilting vocals and delicate guitar playing with his 2013 release The Hurry and the Harm.� The album debuted at No. 1 on the Canadian Albums Chart and featured the heartbreaking single �Thirst� as well as the remorseful �The Lonely Life.� The Hurry and the Harm is the follow-up to 2011�s Little Hell, another No. 1 debut on the Canadian Albums Chart. His other releases include Sometimes (2005) and Bring Me Your Love (2008). Green has racked up a number of accolades over the years, including three Juno Awards: Alternative Album of the Year for Sometimes and� Songwriter of the Year in both 2009 and 2012. Fans who only know Green�s work as City and Colour may be shocked to learn he was once a member of the aggressive post-hardcore outfit Alexisonfire. Green served as vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter for the band before deciding to leave in 2010. The fact that Green was able to go from hard-hitting rock to introspective folk speaks to his tremendous talents as a musician, songwriter, and performer.
