Woody's is located in the heart of Toronto's Boystown. Since opening in 1989, Woody's and its brother bar Sailor (located next door) have become Toronto's busiest and hottest gay men's bars. A large and cavernous complex with five bars, Woody's features nightly D.J.'s, men's contests Thursday through Saturday (Best Chest, Best Ass, Best Legs), a pool table and 21 video monitors showing some of the sexiest images around. Woody's enjoys added recognition for being featured in the popular television series "Queer as Folk". As an added bonus, Priape - Canada's favourite gay store featuring leatherwear, club wear, porn and toys is right above the Sailor bar. Woody's front windows open up on Church Street providing a great view on Canada's busiest and friendliest gay village.

Along with sponsoring baseball teams, hockey, bowling, tennis, soccer and rugby, Woody's is a founding and continuing sponsor of Buddies in bad Times Theatre, North America's largest gay theatre. Woody's is also a proud corporate sponsor of Pride Week. Toronto's Pride festivities have grown to be one of the world's largest Pride celebrations culminating on the last Sunday of June every year. Woody's extensive fundraising activities include Woody's Staff Night which has raised over $300 000.00 for the AIDS Committee of Toronto.

Woody's is also proud to have received numerous Best Of awards from Now, Xtra!, fab and Eye magazines aswell as many community recognition awards. Toronto Life Magazine stated that "All paths lead to Woody's, the spiritual hub of the bar scene, and in many ways the gay community."
