The Brunswick House (also known as The Brunny) is one of the oldest establishments still in operation in the city of Toronto. Founded in 1876 and located just at the corner of Bloor Street West and Brunswick Avenue in the heart of the annex, The Brunswick House has served different clientele over its lifetime. Originally the neighbourhood was home to the working class and new immigrants. By the 1970s, The Brunswick House had become mainly a student bar with the University of Toronto just a few blocks east.

The Brunswick House became widely known as one of Toronto’s most famous drinking establishments. Past patrons still recall the days of “Rockin Irene”, an elderly woman who would perform old bar songs and raunchy tunes much to the delight of patrons. The Brunswick House Toronto

Today, The Brunswick House is known for cheap drink specials, mini pitchers, and great parties. We cater to a young demographic with various events such as pub crawls, theme parties, pub nights, fraternity and sorority nights and private events. In addition, we host a number parties for different clubs and organizations in the Toronto area
